Networking / Socialising in Shanghai

Hi, my name is Glen, I am a white Zimbabwean living in Australia (sorry to mention colour, just thought i would clarify as some people may have an issue). NE hoo, in October, a few student colleagues and i will be heading to Shanghai for the practical component and completion of our MBA's. We will be in Shanghai for about 5 weeks and keen to catch up with others living and having fun in Shanghai. We (4 of) are between 24 - 27 yrs, do Afroshanghai members / readers get together on a regular basis ?...where, when, how, what for....replies would be appreciated - Thanks.

Hey man howzit going? Um really glad to hear from someone from the SADC region, um actually from Botswana. I think you will find Shanghai pretty enjoyable bru, coz there's a whole lot to do out here, the nite life is truly vibrant, so many places to check out. Holler when you get here.

By the way which varsity are you guys going to be at?
 

Hi Zen, nice to have u on board. AfroShanghai has been out there for less than two months now, so far we do not have any group meeting though the idea is indeed quite interesting. Nevertheless as Khabzela mentioned the city is worth visiting, and I am sure you will have fun during your stay.
In case a nice place name come up to my mind I will let you know on this forum!

You've prpbably been and gone to and from Shanghai already.   Bummer, I would've loved to catch up with someone from back home.  Hope you had a lovely time!
