RIP James Brown

ATLANTA - James Brown, the legendary singer known as the "Godfather of Soul," has died, his agent said early Monday. He was 73.

Brown was hospitalized Sunday at Emory Crawford Long Hospital with pneumonia and died around 1:45 a.m. Monday, said his agent, Frank Copsidas of Intrigue Music. Longtime friend Charles Bobbit was by his side, Copsidas said.

The agent said Brown's family was being notified of his death and that the cause was still uncertain. "We really don't know at this point what he died of," Copsidas said.

James Brown was more than a great entertainer.  He was a revolutionary!

R.I.P. brother you did a lot for the community, the black movement in the 1960 and the Hip Hop movement ofthe 1980's!

Some people stood in the cold all night even though the viewing wasn't until the next day. The casket which was gold-plated was too heavy to put on an airplane. So the Rev. Al Sharpton drove it from Georgia to New York.

My goodness. James Brown hasn't been buried yet, can u believe that. Relatives fighting. Sad really.

Is it not insane!!!! It seems that Anna Nicole Smith is having the same problem. I think they just made a decision regarding her burial. With so much money, one would think that getting buried would not be a problem but paradoxically, the opposite is true.
