How's It Going AfroShanghai?

How's it going people? Long time... I'm back in Africa after being in Shanghai for all these years.  I've been busy working.  Anyway, just wanted to say HI and to the people I met up with in Shanghai - hope I get to see you guys again.

Hey Sab, was wondering where you have been. wasn't able to access your site as well. Afroshanghai is still up but much less active than before, as most members have left town or others have moved on with their work etc.

How is life back home?

Hi Pat,

It's good to hear from you. Things are good here, the economy is improving (not sure if you remember our economy collapsed around late 2008).  We also have our presidential elections this year.

Yeah, my site was hacked  and then when I got it back up my web host was sold to another company.  Long story short I'm currently moving all my websites to another webhost which will take some time.  The internet in Seychelles is a lot slower than that of China.  We're expecting fibre optics to be installed next year so hopefully that will ameliorate the situation.

What about you, how have you been? How's Shanghai?

I do sometimes miss Shanghai, especially my close friends who are still there.  But I don't miss is half as much as I used to, I just love being in Africa. 

There's an incredible increase of Chinese tourists flocking our islands, and it's just wonderful to have them here.  As I have been rather welcomed in their country, they are very welcome in mine.
