With Wade, Melo and Lebron James being nominated as the team's captains, and the team that has been built especially for international tournaments, instead of the "All-star" types we used to see, the USA seems on the way of winning their first world championships since ten years. If you follow the games, what are your impressions so far? I am very optimistic on seeing the US winning it all, and they will be tough to beat in two years in Beijing. The most impressing thing is not the domination of the boards or the high flying dunks, but the fact that these guys can and are actually shooting the ball pretty well, whether jump shots or threes, which is very different from previous US teams.

China is not having their best tournament so far, losing their first three games. African teams on the other hand are showing some progress, including a surprising 3-0 start from Angola.

No doubt that the US team is far more armed than ever before.Even with the absence of the Kobi Brant because of ill-health and Allen Iverson, the team is already getting world support to win the indisputable coverted trophy.I have been watching their matches keenly I am amazed with the level of maturity and hard dunks I see this time around.I think these new breed of US palyers have been more creative and talented than what the former ones like Jordan and Magic Johnson did yesteryears back.

Don't even comment of their score margin against their opponents.I am seeing a new generation of basketballers coming from James Lebrant and Wade to street basketball in the court.Amazing.No game with China,Germany even Brazil tried to no avail.
