From this first game England did not show the potential of a World Cup winner. If they need an own goal to pass by Paraguay I don't see them to go far in the competition. They don't have forwards, Crouch (or Crounch) is too tall, Owen not 100% back from his injury etc. Let's see if the coach make the necessary adjustments in the next games. I would see Gerard playing more in front instead of staying half back a position he is not used to.

True,they could have done better.There were lots of goal shots(and misses)though.
Crouch (or Crounch) is too tall
