YO YO YO!

I'm sitting here responding to posts and I just realized what day today is! For you it may seem like any other day but three years ago....SARS had hit Beijing hard and my classmates and I had to finish our studies one month earlier. The day was Monday, April 21, 2003. When we landed in Hong Kong, I had time to use the free internet the airport supplied to check my e-mail just to find out that the Chinese students left behind would no longer have to go to school until the SARS issue was taken care of. This lasted for two months. When school started again in early July students were told that their time away from school was their "summer break". As for me, I had the longest summer break ever: April 21, 2003-August 13/14, 2003.
