Basics for shopping

Botswana currency name: Pula and Thebe

1USD : 5.5 Pula (approx) , Thebe (cent equivalent)

Basic communication

Money : Madi

How much does it cost? : Ke bo kahe?

I don't understand : Ga ke tlhaloganye.

I would like to pay please / bill : Ke kopa go duela.

I don't want..... : Ga ke e batle Singular , Ga ke di batle plural

Expensive : E a tura. singular, Di a turaplural

I'm just looking (ie not buying anything) : Ke lebaleba fela, ga ke reke.

I will pay by credit/debit card : Ke tlaa duela ka karata.

I will pay cash : Ke tlaa duela ka madi.

Don't be shy to try out these phrases when u are in Botswana. Grin

Lesson (103) , will be based on taxi phrases  and getting around the country.
