Education system in China

LOL.. Now I wonder which is worse? Back in the Philippines,we had to wear uniforms (skirts/pants/sailor type styles) luckily for me, I went to private school and it was not enforced.. but i think the uniform system is used because its predominantly a Catholic country. Administrative officers in govt establishments had to wear uniforms as well..

But there was one I praticularly disliked with the education system in Phils.. Attendance monitoring.. like  , they had to take attendance for every lesson and 3-5 consecutive absences meant Dropped from the subject; so u had to re-enroll the next semester for that course.

But I totally agree, cos when I was in Nigeria, the system of education was so tough..Lord have mercy and it was the complete opposite in the Philippines, so i lagged and played so much during my college days..

As for attendance it's about the same here.  If we're absent 3-5 times consecutively we have to drop the module.  Except I'm absent a lot more than 3-5 times...I guess they're lenient (i.e. they don't care) with foreign students.

Surprised to hear that in the Philippines you didn't really have to wear uniforms in private school, whereas the public school students had to...REALLY STRANGE.   When I was in the Philippines it was very much the opposite where private school students had to wear the whole gear (incl. ID pinned up on your blouse, "black shoes white socks", bag, etc.)...public school students had a lot of freedom; they were even allowed to wear slippers to go to school (if I went to school with slippers I would have been sent home).

Education system is really strict in Seychelles.  From Secondary/high school onwards, if you are absent 3 times without valid reason/parents note/sick leave you'll be expelled from school. No exception to foreign students.

Sabrina,thats what l think. the private schools should be more strict than the public schools,but it also depends on the mindset of the private owners of the schools. some individuals is strict while some arent that such, so this will also apply if they own a private school.

LOL.. Yeah but I still attended lectures, most times I never listen or I just doze off..
Private schools enforce Uniforms but, lets just say my school tried to be different... Schools like UP Diliman also did not enforce uniform; aside from them, the other schools enforced it...LMAO.. ID is necessary.. it has to be pinned on your chest..
In Nigeria, I went to a military school, so the discipline was very tough, even for my hair.... I had to wear cornrows to school every day, corporal punishment .. eegghh it was hell!!!  but hey, I survived it.. memories..

That is it exactly,they open the universities for the reasons u named above. but above all, l think they are helping the citizens(as u know it very hard to enter university in nigeria).and not passing the JAMB does not mean u are not talented. so the private universities gives you a chance.

China is a communist states so you don't have to  be surprised if  there are strict curfews in any universities.
Talking about strict curfews,my university is worst back home because it is owned by a Rev.Father, so its like seminary school.

Hi guys nice to visit here found many informative knowledge from here,basically in China the education is divided into three categories: basic education, higher education, and adult education. Primary and secondary education are come under the head of basic education,and colleges upto three to four years or masters is come under higher education,and specialization in any field cover by adult education.Hope you guys like it.
