Afroshanghaiers first meeting a success!!

So we finally had our first meeting this Saturday and i gotta say meeting you all was fun and worth it!!! Good conversation, networking, really good stufff!! We should do it again soon. Maybe even once a month or so. How about that?

Suggestions are very welcome on various things we can do, where to meet, etc!!!

Word. I'm glad it went down cool. As long as there was some good strong vodka and or gin, I was there in spirit. Hhahhahahaha.

Saturday's meeting was good,it went really well and I agree with everyone that we ought to do this more often and maybe next time,we'll have a bigger and better turn out. I was quite happy with the location of the last meeting.Didn't have to shout to hear each other!
I think we should print "Afrshanghai" t shirts to distribute among members and friends.
In the next meeting,can we invite friends over or is it strictly restrictedto memebers?

Lastly,can I share my joy with y'all? Got an email form a country mate to say she is in Shanghai!Might not sound like all that but it's a rarity,how many people from that part of Southern part of Africa do you get here? I'm excited,will introduce her to you when we have our next meeting.

I think the meeting was a great success.  I wish I was able to arrive earlier.  I certainly hope it becomes a monthly event.  It was truely awesome to hear the different experiences we all had to share and similarties between them.  The exchange was priceless. 

The location was great!  I see no reason to change it at this time. 

I echo all that's been said. It was great to meet you all. I worry about the follow-through. Sometimes it's difficult to keep connected with differenct schedules, pursuits and the like. If we genuinely hope to build more than an online community for support, networking and friendship then regular get togethers seems to be the way to go. What's more, we don't have to always go to a bar; out to dinner, the movies, and things that cost absolutely nothing at all can also be on the table. Every major ethinic/nationality/country group you can imagine has some sort of regular meeting social group. Let's get ours in full swing!! Cheers.

When is the next Afroshanghai meeting

If it's supposed to become a monthly thing then the next meeting should be next weekend...right?  I won't be able to go, but I hope it happens.
