guys i was in a cab headed to work when we got stuck in traffic. i told the driver i think i'd rather walk the last remainig block to office. A young woman who seems to be a little crazy comes along and gets into an argument with the driver. Anyway i am thinking i have to get to work and tell the cabbie i will pay and walk the remaining he says ok. So i hand over the hundred bill coz i don't have smaller change and this crazy woman reaches into the cab grabs it and runs. It happens all so fast. The driver and i somehow have slow reflexes. Then we get into this weird argument as to whether i have paid the bill. We both feel we are owed. I march out and he calls the cops. Huh?

If the money did not reach the hands of the driver then you probably owes him the money.

I agree with Pat on this one.  If the money was handed to the driver and the woman snatched it from his hands then you don't owe him anything.  But if it never got to him, then the money was stolen from you so you still owe him.  Hope it's been resolved.
