Greetings, All!

I am thinking about relocating to China to teach English, later in the year (or early next). I would love to consider Shanghai over Beijing for many reasons. However, am told that due to Shanghai's poor heating system (compared to Beijing's), that it can become quite cold indoors. If so, then I would have to choose Beijing, instead as being warm at home (especially at night) is a must for me!

Not sure if space heaters are allowed...

Any insight?

Best,
Shawn

It depends on the accommodation you get.  If the school offers an apartment with insulation and AC then you will be fine at home in Shanghai.   Beijing is freezing cold in the winter so having good heat at home while your stuck in traffic in the freezing cold won't help much.
