help, newly born african-chinese baby girl is being shunned

Many of you who watch tv may have learnt of a 20 year old shanghainese girl who just gave birth to a mixed race baby. What makes this story eye catching is that this is being categorized as an unwanted pregnancy as the girl was involved in a one night stand with some african guy she met at some bar in the Jingan area (I think we can all guess which one) earlier this year. She has no job, no home, no money and her parents don't want anything to do with her. For now I just feel for the baby because this innocent child is on the verge of being orphaned. It's trajic and very heartbreaking. I think the mother should be given as much support as possible. This is a link to the whole story.

I called the hospital and spoke to a doctor Yu who acts as a liason to the child's mother. The doctor says the mother and child are likely to be discharged after 2-3 days. This is the phone number for inquiries: 56969799. I and another african brother plan on paying a visit as soon as possible and offer a gesture of support, probably tomorrow. Anyway latest update on this sad story. And it's a bit surprising. The girl may or may not be telling the complete truth. I did my own bit of investigative work, phone calls and visits and it's amazing how much I dug up so quickly. A friend of mine says he just might know the girl and shockingly enough the father. He doesn't follow the news much but the description i gave him seems to match that of a young shanghainese girl,pregnant, who visited his home a while back and who already had conspicous bulge. She was homeless and already shunned by her parents. Her African boyfriend had cut off all communication links with her. The little information she shared with my friend includes the revealing statement "every time we were together he did not like to use condoms". My friend offered her to stay at his place a couple of days but she didn't stay. Upon recieving a phone call from some friend she left. According to him if it's the same girl she has been sleeping at internet bars and friend's places and she was due to give birth some time at the end of the year. I even got her english name. He has not seen the video but he says everything points to the same girl. Today the hospital says mother and child have already been discharged with the mother's father stepping in to take care of things.
