Many people incl. Africans from the mainland don't know about this little African nation that had its inhabitants 'kicked out' of their homeland - people of the Chagos Islands (incl. Diego Garcia) by the British.  It was a long time ago but the people of this nation still exists today and they have been deported to the other neighbouring African islands.  It's a really sad story, esp. for them.

Watch the documentary here: http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/P70M0TZJAyo/

A few years ago Britain have tried to compensate for their actions by offering British citizenship to the people of Diego Garcia, but this is quite useless because when the people were kicked out of their country, they left with pretty much nothing and so many are living in poverty.

They want their home back, and I hope that one day they're able to achieve this.
