coming to XiAn

hello,

i am coming to xian for 5 months and i would like to know if there are any black people over there? i will be at the international studies university. if there are sisters and brothers out there that will be so cool we can meet because right now i am totally freaked out. i come from France and I have seen that the moderator Pat and I have one thing in common: allez les Eperviers!!

There should be Black people in Xian but I don't think any member of these forums. Probably you will need to get there before meeting them. Xian is not exactly comparable to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen or Guangzhou which are considered more "opened", but I believe you should be just fine if you come with an open mind. Also it has a lot of historical and touristic places to visit. Wish you good luck!
P.S. About "Les Eperviers", they let us down last time...

Xian belongs to Shanxi province. Im sure you will love Xian. And dont miss the chances to visit some historical places in/near Xian, for example Huashan, Yanan, Cheng Yang .. Your flight will be landed in Cheng Yang, so you have to take taxi ( cost about 70 RMB )to Xian. Dont forget bring a coat every time you go to travel, especially visiting to Huashan.

There are few Afro-students in Xian. You can access to bbs of the universities there to contact to them.
