I don't really know where I stand where palmistry is concerned. I suppose it's one of those "tell me something good and I'll believe you, tell me something bad and I'll call it a sham".
I met this Chinese lady who did Chinese Medicine for several years and she's also a self-proclaimed Chinese palmistry expert, she told me that she's studied palmistry for 10+ years. It took some major convincing (and 5 shots of Tequila) but I eventually gave in.
According to Chinese palmistry, you can't really find out the length of a person's life because the life line only shows the quality of the person's life. This is quite different to Indian palmistry, in which you can actually calculate the age of when you're probably going to die.
What convinced me to get my palm read by the Chinese lady? I was hanging out with some friends and one of them told me that she went to the hospital that afternoon because she was suffering from abdominal pains. An hour later, we were introduced to this Chinese woman (the palm reader) and 5 seconds within reading my friend's palm she turned to her and asked: "you have a digestive tract infection, don't you?"

It was then my turn and she was right about my health issues, which she was able to diagnose within 5 seconds.

Here's the funny part: according to the Chinese woman, I'm going to get married to a business man who's going to spoil me rotten...but cheat on me on his business trips.

LOL... I then remembered why I didn't want my palm read in the first place. She then told me I'll be really successful in my early 30s, so I guess that reading wasn't too traumatic after all.

So yeah, ever had your palm read here in China (or anywhere else)?
