Hi , i ve been living here a while now , and i have been thinkin that it actually might not be a bad idea to open up a Hair Salon where Brothers and Sisters could have their hair done.
I m talking perm , weaving , braiding etc....
Tell me what y'all think , it would be great to have a feedback to see if it s actually worth a shot .

Thanks .
A.

I think the opportunity exists, but as with any business you need to do your homework and come up with a solid business plan. Also you will need to have solid financials or bring in some investors since starting a retail store or a service company doesn't come cheap for foreigners here.

I would contact the owners of Salon Simba in Beijing www.simbasalon.com too to see what their experience has been running a Black hair care salon in Beijing. They could probably give many invaluable tips on pitfalls to avoid or markets to target. Maybe they could even co-invest.

I'm interested in something like that. My hair is tore up from the floor up. Chinese have messed up my hair so bad that I don't see it recovering.

Yes, I absolutely agree with you pat_togo, this opportunity is existed and there're a lot of competitions here. The best way is to think how can you exceed the expectation of your customer. And open a new service that you think may be satisfied your customers.
