Maybe because you have been pushing too hard? You know men, especially Black men, like to be in the driving seat. So if you are actively looking for a bf it might raises questions and actually make potential mates run away. I think you should take it easy, just try to network in groups with Black men without saying to anyone that you are in the market for a Black bf, and it should come naturally. It is never too late, good luck :-)

thanks very much for the advice, but i don't go on abt looking for a bf. how would they know?

"just try to network in groups with Black men" - erm, that'll be very difficult in hk...

are men, and black men in particular, put off by smart and successful women? does it make them feel inadequate if they're not as smart or successful as the woman? maybe i should play dumb? or maybe i should not try to look for an equal? there's a chinese saying along the lines of "dumb women are happier".

i thought men would like smart and successful women and i'm proud of being one. perhaps i should hide it???

another question is if a woman sleeps with a man early on, he won't classify her as gf material, right?
