Yes.  The D train is a pleasure to ride.  I had a good time in Shanghai and I'm still recovering.  It was probably my best trip to there in a long time.  Maybe that's because I don't have to ride a bus for 8 hours anymore.  It just takes about 45min by train.

that makes a huge difference.  from 8 hours to 45 minutes.  wow that frees up an entire day for you.
