ICS TV Channel a welcome development

New shanghai TV channel with significant english content (or at least english subtitles). A refreshing break 4 me from CCTV9 and its booorriinng 'news' content.

I enjoy this station. I also appreciate the fact that it's new and possibly still finding stable footing.

Nonetheless I have this to say:

There's way too many repeat programs, ...perhaps it's coz of limited resources...? I understand.

There are also shows that air daily but are still repeated. eg. 'You are the Chef'. This cooking program features one chef for the whole week, so we see the same two people (presenter and chef) through out the entire week, including the repeats,.. that's really painful!

The same thing applies to 'Culture Matters', which isn't helped by the fact that the shows' presenter sucks!. They should fire that chap,...soon as i see his big head i switch of my telly.

Then there's the Meiji chocolate commercial that's aired like a ten thousand times a day. I dunno what the chocolate company is trying to achieve by bombarding us with their product. I feel so violated by the darn thing,that i run the other direction everytime i see a Meiji chocolate box!

On the whole though, um falling in luv with ICS. They got cool shows especially the entertainment programs, eg. 'Mega Stars' with that disgustingly hot chick,...Juju i think is her name.

Their news content is also tight coz it's local and relevent.

Big up to ICS!

P.S. Anybody got guanxi with the folks up in ICS? Need a hook up with Juju ( Mega Stars presenter), if not i'll settle for Qin Yi, news anchor.

I'm munching on Meiji right now...am I the only one who thinks a box of their 'Macadamia' is way over priced?

I'm a fan of ICS as well...the repetitions only bother me when I spend 2 days straight in front of the television.  Culture Matters rock, and I like the host.  I hate that jazz thing though, and Lawrence Ku is even deader than dead.
