1) We have just launched a separate French language forum (many French-speaking visitors complained of not understanding the English menus, preventing them to register or post/reply to topics  Tongue), the new location is: http://www.afroshanghai.com/fr/forums/ ; the old forums will still be available as read-only and will not accept any new posts. To post in the new forums you will need to register a new member account as both user databases are not connected.

2) We have also added two new sub-forums
-Introductions (for new members to introduce themselves)
-Dating & Relationships (as a sub-forum of the General Forums)
Happy New Year 2008,

...Segregation! Shocked

Many people from my country are also anti-English language Pat...sending them to the other islands isn't how we solve the issue...

Yes I understand your point, but the French-language forums never took off anyway despite the number of French-speaking people I know of who visit regularly (but fail to participate)...So it's a choice between two evils... Undecided I will put prominent links between two boards to keep them interconnected in a way...

You might have two dictionary-like properties files, one for English Menu and one for French Menu. It will allow you to switch between two menus by clicking language buttons. You might add more later in Portuguese, Swahili, Chinese and other languages.

I don't know what database you were using, but if some of you know how to write SQL scripts, it should not be difficult to merge or combine two into one in popular relational databases such as, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL (Open Source) etc.

Il n'ya pas que les francophones d'Afroqiue =pensez aussi aux lusiphones (de Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique et Angola), puis Arab etc.

BUt it is true that if someone manages to enter an English-language website and register as a member then they should be able to "read English menus".

And this is my first post!
