Who's the most violent of them all ??

Being from southern Africa, a part of the world that has a had it's fair share of racial tension instigated by settler Europeans, I am often amused by the manner in which white society views black people or more specifically the black man. The vilification of the The Black man seems to be spread  throughout Europe the U.S and other parts of the world. We (black males) are looked at with suspicion as we enter shops, white women grab onto their purses as we pass by, some shiver with terror in elevators as a black man enters, ATM lines are a nightmare, we are the first suspects in most violent crimes, the list is endless.  In short the black male has been potrayed as being extremely violent. When u sit down and think about it, this is all a load on rubbish.

The undisputed heavy weight champion of violence is non other than the white race, lead by the white male. History proves this. White people have enslaved other races, brutaly colonised Indians, Africans, Chinese, etc, and committed genocide in Australia. New Zealand, present day USA. They further raped and lynched countless numbers of Africans in America and the Carribean. White people are the architects of the worlds most brutal and degrading political systems, um talking segregation in the US, and apartheid in South Africa (and Namibia),a system that allowed the sjamboking(whipping) and shooting to death of school children.

It is a fact that the white male has killed more people on this earth than any other racial group.

So next time you are alone in an elevator with a white man, hold on tightly to your purse.... BEWARE!!!!

You are fingerpointing and generalizing the same way the White Society does about the Black Man! Violence was not created by the white man, it has always existed in every society and race. Violence.... Was the ethnic cleansing instigated by the white man? Although Mobutu was placed on the throne by the white man, he could have made a difference, did he? How many did Shaka Zhulu kill...?

Of course each race and has his endureance but should we not try to overcome this first? Don't do as the white man does!! Show him you can do better, no matter if all ideology is against you. Don't forget that Peace starts from within yourself.

I am fully at peace with myself. I am not claiming the white man is the creator of violence, hence the title" who's the most violent of them all". All races have perpetuated acts of violence even Africans, however white people have committed such acts to a much greater degree than any race on this earth. This is merely a fact of history, and not an inflammitory statement of any kind, please take note of that.

My problem lies with the irony of all this. History proves that black people are not guilty of the greatest acts of violence in the world, however there is a perception, especially amongst whites that the black male has a violent nature and is the worlds number one trouble maker. If you are a black man i am very sure you have experienced the suspicious eyes of the shop attendants, or the white women grabbing onto their kids as you pass by,or immidiate demands to pay your bill when everybody else isn't, or other related CRAP!

Why should the world look at me like this when the man to FEAR is given smiles and assurance. I mean if somebody is renowned for having commited immesurable acts of brutality shouldn't people be suspicious of him? Now why are people suspicious of one whose history is less bloody?

Sir i don't want to seem to be perpetuating any form of racial intolerance( Afroshanghai is not about that), i am merely laying the facts on the truth table.

The prevailing generalizing you speak of, with regards to perceptions of the black male is WRONG, and so is that of the white male. In actual fact they should swapped!
