It is an opulently beautiful movie. However, it may very well not be shown in China because it does feature an incestuous relationship between the Emperor's wife and her stepson. Also, it paints a very unflattering portrait of of the royal court, but it is beautiful to see.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago when my friend got the DVD from a video store here in the U.S. It was well made.
